• Business and Professional Group -If you’re employed or retired from an approved occupational group (e.g., Accountants, Educators, Engineers, Firefighters, Military, Law Enforcement, etc.), you may be eligible for this discount. Contact us to see if you qualify.

• Distant Student - If your children go to school at least 100 miles from the home and have no regular access to the covered car, this discount can lower their rates.

• Multi-Car - We’ll discount your rates if you cover more than one vehicle under the same Farmers Auto policy.

• Teen Driver - Add a single licensed teen driver to your policy (your child or grandchild) and as long as you’ve had your policy in force for at least 2 years, you’ll save.

• Alternative Fuel - Earn this special rate discount if you drive a hybrid, electric, or other new alternative fuel car.

• Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) - Pay your premium electronically and Farmers can discount your rate.

• Homeowner - If you own your home you may earn this discount.

• Pay In Full - Pay your entire term premium in one lump sum, and we’ll reduce your rates.

• Transfer - Earn this discount when you switch to Farmers Insurance from another approved carrier and without a lapse in coverage.

• Good Student - Good students are good best behind the wheel. Farmers can discount your rate if any of the following apply to you:
  • High school student with at least a "B" average
  • College student with a 3.0 (out of 4.0) grade point average or higher
  • Dean's List or Honor Roll student
  • Student ranked in the top 20% of their class or in the top 20% in national standardized tests

Please be ready to submit proof of eligibility (a copy of a report card, grade-point average, etc.) when requesting this discount.

• Affinity - Farmers has good working relationships with local businesses and professional groups. If you are employed by one of them, or even retired from one, you may qualify for an additional discount.

• Bundle Discounts - Bundle a Farmers Home insurance policy with a Farmers Auto and/or Life insurance policy, and you may earn a discount for your premium.

• Non-Smoker - Statistically speaking, smoking in the house can dramatically increase the chances of fire or smoke damage. That’s why Farmers offers this discount to households that have been smoke-free for the past two years.

• Home Renovation -  If you recently renovated your home’s heating and electrical, or plumbing systems, you can receive this discount.

• New Home - The Alamo is a pride of Texas, but newer construction also has its charms. If your home was built in the past 12 years, you can qualify for this discount.

• New Roof - From June through August everyone in Texas is happy to sit under a good roof. If you gave your home a new roof in the past six years, you’ll be happy about this discount too.

• UL Approved Roofing Materials -  If an object was to fall from the sky, we’d prefer you to be safe. If your roof is made out of impact-resistant materials like asphalt or fiberglass shingles that have been approved by Underwriters Laboratories, you may qualify for this discount.

• Home Safety - If you’ve taken steps to improve the safety and energy efficiency of your home with features like reinforced windows and walls, water leak or gas valve shut offs, or ENERGY STAR, EPA, or LEED certification, Farmers will thank you with this discount.

• Protective Devices - If you’ve invested in additional protective devices like a fire alarm, a security system, and/or an internal sprinkler system, Farmers can give some of your investment back with this discount.
